YOUNG’S LAUNCHES CHIP SHOP MINI FILLETS
Young’s Seafood, the
nation’s favourite fish brand, has launched a new bite-size product to
add to its leading Chip Shop range - Chip Shop Mini Fillets.
Made
with 100 per cent basa fillet - succulent white fish with a soft
texture and mild flavour – with less than three per cent saturated fat
and no bones, new Mini Fillets offer the perfect mid-week meal option
for young families and children.
The addition of new Mini Fillets
to the existing range ensures there is a Chip Shop favourite to satisfy
the tastes and needs of every consumer. With more families choosing to
dine-in at home, it’s increasingly important to offer a range of
products that appeal to everyone and the unique format of Mini Fillets
are perfect for smaller appetites.
Their small size also makes
them the perfect finger food to dip and share whilst the mild flavour of
the fish dipped in Chip Shop’s unique crisp bubbly batter ensures they
appeal to ‘fish-fearful’ adults and children alike.
Young’s uses
the best quality basa for its new Mini Fillets, farmed in the fresh
waters of Vietnam. The fish are filleted by hand and frozen within one
hour of leaving the water to ensure the fresh flavour and healthy
nutrients are locked-in at the natural source. As with all Young’s
products, Chip Shop Mini Fillets carry the company’s Fish for Life
accreditation on-pack, confirming that the fish used has been
responsibly sourced.
Commenting on the launch, Charlotte
Broughton, marketing controller for Young’s Seafood, said: “Fish is an
essential part of everyday life for us and, as a nutritious and
essential staple of a healthy balanced diet, it’s our passion to make it
a twice-weekly feature on the nation’s menu too.
“Our new Chip
Shop Mini Fillets are a perfect example of the ways in which we are
constantly seeking to create new ideas that really deliver to our
consumers’ needs, serving-up the very tastiest, top-quality products at
an affordable price-point.”
Chip Shop Mini Fillets are available
now in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Iceland and the Co-op, RRP £3.49
for a pack of six fillets (380g). The new launch is being supported via
in-store promotions and PR.
